Legendary and veteran radio personality Alex Ndaula has just passed on according to credible sources. His former workmate Patricia Osman of Capital FM where he became a renowned radio host broke the sad news.
“A LEGEND has gone to sleep.
Rest in peace radio legend. Sleep well.
We shall forever celebrate you Alexander Ndaula,” the news anchor paid tribute to Ndawula.
Ndaula passed away at Nsambya Hospital in Kampala. The cause of death has not yet been established but organ failure has been cited by some sources as the cause of the unfortunate incident.
Different people especially on social media have already started eulogizing the fallen radio presenter sending in tributes.
The radio personality crafted a name for himself as one of the pioneers of entertainment on radios in Uganda. He joined Capital FM in 1995 where he went on to build a legacy that has seen him revered among different Ugandans.
Alex had the entire nation on its toes dancing on the Saturday Capital dance Force Program. Not only that, he had everyone waking up early for the Morning Breakfast in order not to miss him.
However, the station sacked him in 2003. It was arrogance that was said to be the cause of his axing especially towards the callers.
He had however built his brand as one of the indispensable radio personalities at the station. They reinstated him soon and the party began from where it started. He quit radio in 2018 after 20 active years of service.
However news emerged last year how he had been admitted at St Francis, Nsambya Hospital.
It was said that Alex was a constant face at Serenity Rehabilitation Centre at Bwebajja on Entebbe Road. He was consequently forced to seek rehabilitation due to the heavy use of alcohol.
May his soul rest in peace as we shall keep the good memories of him that he gave us.
This is a developing story…
