BUSOGA ROYAL WEDDING: Josephine Namusoke Narrates How She Ended Up As Royal Matron

Josephine Namusoke, the matron during the Busoga Royal wedding has come out to narrate how she became the matron. Namusoke recalls kneeling down and crying tears when Jovia Mutesi, Queen of Busoga Kingdom asked her to be her maid of honor.

The two had known each other for only a few weeks when she had started her work as the royal wedding planner.

I couldn’t believe it because honestly, she didn’t know much about me. She just saw me organizing her event and we became close friends,” Namusoke narrated in an interview.

She trusted me so much and liked that I was honest and able to tell her straight when things were not going well.”

Namusoke says she was reeled into the historic wedding preparations by the king himself, Wilberforce Nadiope Gabula IV.

She had dreamt for a long time of planning such a big event, and when she caught wind of the Busoga royal wedding, she decided to draft a proposal and send it directly to the monarch.

Thankfully, the King had seen some of my previous work, and about two weeks later he called me and sent someone to pick me up for a meeting,” she said.

She is also a lady who loves God. I am a Catholic and she is a born-again. But every time I was with her, she was preaching to me and in the end I accepted Jesus into my life.”

Having been selected to become the matron, Namusoke says, she picked Mariam Mutakubwa, better known as Biggie Events to be the overall coordinator of the wedding.
