Cardi B Ready To Divorce Offset After 3 Years Of Marriage

After 3 turbulent years of marriage, famous rapper Cardi B is ready to call it quits with her husband/rapper Offset. The couple got married secretly in September 2017 but went through some rough times within a year of their marriage.

It was so bad that Cardi B announced their break up almost two years ago and she filed for divorce.

‘’We got a lot of love for each other but things just haven’t been working out between us for a long time.’’ She said in an Instagram video in 2018.

She continued to say that it’s like they just grew out of love but even then they were not together anymore.

In 2019, the couple reconciled and Cardi B said that the split happened because of her husband’s infidelity. They came to a clear understanding thereafter that monogamy proved to be the only way.

In the divorce agreement, Cardi B seeks custody for their 2-year-old daughter Kulture whose real name is Kiari Cephus. A hearing is set for November 4. It will happen at the Fulton County in Georgia which is Offset’s home state.

Despite these ups and downs in her private life, Cardi B has rocked to success from her humble origins in Bronx, New York. She came into the limelight with her hit Bodak Yellow and now her current chart-topper WAP is brnging  her controversies.

Her latest track, featuring Megan Thee Stallion, WAP, celebrates female sexuality. It is currently spending its second week at the top of the UK charts.

Hailed by some as a feminist masterpiece, others have criticized the song and it’s explicit video – which the rapper has defended, saying “it’s what people want to hear”.
