Speaking in a virtual interview, the singer said that this started when she had gone for a performance at a certain function. Midway through it, she had a seizure and was helped back into her car.
She decided to visit the heart institute at Mulago Hospital where she was told that one of her arteries was blocked.
Catherine says that she was advised to go for a heart surgery but she opted for painkillers since it wasn’t so serious.
Things became harder when she went to visit her son who lives in the US. When the same thing happened to her, she decided to visit a doctor who decided that she need the surgery.
The Nkola Ya Taxi singer said that everything was going to be fine. The surgery was completed successfully and she’s now recuperating. Besides, she doesn’t have anyone to look after her in the hospital.
This isn’t because she doesn’t have anyone but it’s because she wants to be alone. Besides, those hospitals have caretakers who can do anything that a family member or friend would do.
“My situation will be okay as the surgery was completed. I want to assure my fans that I’m fine. For the haters and rumor mongers, I wish you nothing but the best,” she said.
Additionally, the singer said that people have spoken a lot about her but she doesn’t care. All she knows is this is not the first time that false rumors have been spread about her. As long as her conscience is clear, that’s all that matters.
News had circulated how the singer was soliciting for funds from well-wishers to undergo this surgery.
However, some social media users told her to cry to the NRM which she supports. The singer however didn’t reveal if the NRM contributed anything.
