Catherine Kusasira Set To Quit Golden Band After Mesach Ssemakula’s Exit

Golden Band Production’s crisis seems far from over as singer Catherine Kusasira is also set to exit the group. This follows fellow singer Mesach Ssemakula quitting the group earlier this week.

Ssemakula cited health complications as the reason for his resignation. In a letter, he said that he was withdrawing from the band.

Many however interpreted his exit as due to the political infiltration brought about by Ronald Mayinja and Catherine Kusasira who are ardent NRM supporters.

Kusasira however said that it was Ssemakula who started Golden Band and admitted her. She’s therefore been a follower and will soon be quitting too.

“It was Mesach who started Golden Band and admitted the rest of us. Therefore, if a house is burning down and the owner exits, why should you a mere dweller keep inside. I will also be leaving because I can’t remain in an empty shell when the York has been milked out.

Besides my interests are no longer so much into singing. However, I will once in a while drop a few songs for my fans,” Kusasira said.

While speaking about the political infiltration in the group, she said that even Mesach has his own political side although he doesn’t show it.

For her, she’s always been an NRM suppoter publicly. No one can therefore make her stop supporting the party she dearly loves so much.

Kusasira who this week had her show canceled by Police before being restored said that she won’t stop supporting NRM no matter what happens.

Kusasira had also earlier bemoaned the mafia in NRM who were fighting her. These were allegedly trying to jeopardize her chances of standing for the EALA seat on an NRM ticket.
