A post-mortem report revealed that the woman identified as Namukhula Everline who gave birth to five babies in Kakamega, western Kenya, died of heart failure caused by pregnancy complications.

According to Dr Macharia Benson, a specialist in pathology at Moi Referral hospital, Namukhula suffered from peripartum cardiomyopathy, a condition of uncommon form of heart failure that normally happens during the last month of pregnancy, or literally heart muscle disease.
Dr Benson however said that such a condition happens to all mothers, but it’s not always deadly, but Everline’s case was unusual since she had several births.
This woman died on Sunday at Moi Referral Hospital after several complaints of chest pain which the doctor said were caused by much fluid which was in her lungs around the heart which they also was swollen slightly, according to Nairobi News.
