Chameleone And Manager In Trouble Over Skipping Show

Dr Jose Chameleone has apparently skipped a show in Kiboga where he had been contracted to perform by Mango promotions.

This was slated to take place on the 28th of May. Mango Promotions was however told that Chameleone is out of the country after making all the necessary preparations.

He then received a phone call from Mutima telling him to reschedule the concert to 2nd July which he did. However, just after that, Mutima further told Mango to push the concert to 7th July.

Mango declined this because it was costing him a lot yet he had already paid. He, therefore, told Mango to refund his money so that they cease the concert. Mutima was however yet to pay him and has continuously paid a deaf ear.

“I booked Chameleone for a show in Kiboga on the 28th of May but after advertising and doing everything necessary, I was informed that he’s out of the country. His manager Mutima who I had contacted and paid called me and told me to put the show on the 2nd of July which I willingly did. Shortly he called again and said that I reschedule to the 7th of July. I told him that this wasn’t possible because I had advertised the show a lot. I simply asked for my money back so that I replace Chameleone with another artist. Mutima however has been ghosting me. One day we tricked him to come for another gig and when he saw me, he fled. When I call him, he keeps making continuous empty promises,” Mango said.

When Mutima was called live on air, he didn’t deny getting the money on behalf of Chameleone. He however said that he had told Mango how he would pay him on Friday this week.

A not-so-happy Mutima questioned Mango whether he was going to get paid by the media where he ran to. He said that he has never denied getting Mango’s money but doesn’t like to be put under pressure.

Mango who is physically handicapped however said that this is what the Leone Island protégé has been telling him all along.

Meanwhile, Chameleone saw a low turn up for his concert in the diaspora.

This is after some people allegedly NUP fans boycotted his concert after his recent comments about NUP and Bobi Wine at the MK birthday celebrations.
