Chameleone Justifies His Kneeling Stance With Photos Of Nigerian Artistes Kneeling After They Were Gifted Cars

Leone Island singer Dr Jose Chameleone has been at the receiving end of backlash from social media users ever since he was spotted kneeling in front of President Museveni’s brother.

This was after the legendary singer was gifted a Range Rover by the NRM and he’s now decided to justify his actions with two Nigerian artistes.

The singer attached photos of Nigerian heavyweight singers Wizkid and Davido. All these were reported in the Nigerian media to have laid themselves on the ground after being gifted cars.

Chameleone there and then denounced NUP saying that he had never left NRM but was just furthering his political career. The public has been wondering how one of Uganda’s best singers could kneel down just because he had received a car.

Many lashed out at the singer calling him a chameleon just like his name with others saying that NUP already knew his character.

Chameleone however took to his Facebook page to remind everyone that he was born free and no one can project their opinions on him. He then proceeded to preach to them about the democracy that they usually talk about.

“I was born free like many of us, I see many building and customizing others by their expectations. That’s not a free way to live together in harmony. God manifests himself in people today. The devil too!! We can’t live in your opinion, that is prison,” Chameleone posted.

The Valu valu singer then asked all those throwing tantrums if they ever took time to visit him when he was at his lowest point. Chameleone further said that they should waste their data on more relevant things.

“How many of you throwing tantrums and jealousy came to visit me when I was down???

Waste your data on relevancy. This is just a car. What if a plane?

Mbu this, that. Don’t force or intimidate anyone. Just be the example of the freedom and free society promised for us one day,” Chameleone added.
