Charles Rwomushana Claims Bobi Wine And Zaake Incited Mourners To Beat Him Up

Political analyst and former ISO official Charles Rwomushana has claimed that NUP president Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine and Mityana Municipality MP Hon Francis Zaake incited mourners to beat him up at a funeral.

Rwomushana while appearing on BBS TV was asked to talk about the recent beating of NRM mobilizer Majambere. This was at the burial of Jakana Nadduli.

This was done by NUP supporters who were seen donning People Power berets and chanting the party name.

Rwomushana decided to give his own story meeting with the ‘Kyagulanyi gang’ as he refers to it. He said that he had been invited by Butambala MP Hon Muwanga Kivumbi to the funeral of his father. At the same funeral was Kyagulanyi and others that he came with.

When Kyagulanyi and Zaake were handed the microphone, they started inciting people to beat up Rwomushana.

The mourners however refused to carry out this deed. As he said all these according, his bouncers were waiting for the people to come for Rwomushana so that they also round and rough him up.

Further, Rwomushana added that they built NUP on the philosophy of violence. Bobi Wine borrowed this from his Firebase crew.

“The way Majambere was beaten up at Jakana Nadduli’s burial is the same way I almost got beaten up in Butambala at Hon Muwanga Kivumbi’s father’s funeral rites day. Kyagulanyi was on the same funeral and when he got up, he and Zaake incited the people to beat me up but they ignored him.

As all this happened, his bouncers were standing in front of me. Waiting for the people to rise up and they pounce on me first,” said Rwomushana.

It was on this funeral that Bobi Wine referred to ADF leader Jamil Mukulu as his brother.

Rwomushana however said that NUP should ask Dr Kiiza Besigye and Amama Mbabazi where their supporters who attempted violence are now.

The ex-ISO associate has no kind words for NUP.
