Chinese Union Of Uganda Donates Shs471 Million For Covid-19

In humanitarian spirit to curb Corona virus pandemic, Chinese Union of Uganda has donated face mask worth 471 million to the National covid task force.

Paul Zhang the Chinese Union association chairman said this will help the task force team to increase on disease surveillance and other interventions. The donation is part of the company corporate social responsibility to address humanitarian crisis and support government in curbing Corona virus pandemic during the lock down.

A month ago president Museveni made national call to the private sector to contribute to the covid crisis.

Although Uganda has managed to contain the disease through lockdown, ministry of health officials say new cases of Corona virus has been sighted among track drivers hence more strict measures and guidelines to control further spread.
