According to his life time experience, Chris Evans claims that he hustled with three artistes in number during the old days at Yamaha Centre. These three including Eddy Kenzo, Ziza Bafana and Maro almost quit music because of pressure from revelers who thought that they can never make it in life.

Few people know the hustle Evans and the other three great artistes today went through, but most of their fans support them currently because of their persistence and determination.

“I struggled together with Eddy Kenzo at Yamaha centre down town nga fembi tewali atumanyi. We were a group of 4, Kenzo, Evans, Maro and Ziza Bafana, but many people used to tell us mbu tubiveeko tetusobola especially me and kenzo but kenzo kept on ecouraging me dat one day we wd get a break thru. Without anything to eat we w’d move from one music library to another to distribute our songs and then go back home on foot. I later lost hope and sold my gospel album at only 100k coz I had become so desperate. After giving up for some time, Kenzo got his breakthrough with Yanimba. Hoo! Nengamba walai nange sijja kusemba nakyo. One year later I released Rihana. A lot of problems hv come our way including abakazi okutulekawo but by God’s grace we’v kept the fire burning. There was a time Eddy Kenzo had issues with media and for like 3 years his songs were not being played for reasons I dint know, naye era akasajja nekawaguza era kati kali ku number emu in Uganda, Africa and some parts of Asia.” Chris Evans posted.
