Cindy Sanyu Reveals How Jackie Chandiru Inspired Her Back Into Blu 3

Dancehall singer, Cindy Sanyu has revealed that her fellow singer, Jackie Chandiru inspired her to rejoin Blu 3. It should be noted that this group which was put together by Steve Jean under Fenon Records consisted of Lillian Mbabazi, Jackie Chandiru and Cindy herself. After massive success, the girls split in 2008.

Cindy took a solo path which panned out successfully. Lillian stayed with Jackie but a few years later, they too parted ways and the group disbanded. However, last year, they regrouped and have been close since then.

At the time when they parted ways, the situation was so bad that the girls couldn’t speak to each other. It was therefore an exciting surprise when the Hitaji singers reunited last year.

They are gearing up for their concert titled Legends Of Sound- Blu 3 Reunion Concert. It will take place at the Sheraton Hotel Gardens on the 24th July. However, their reunion wasn’t a walk in the park and it needed some convincing.

Speaking during their concert press conference, Cindy said that it was Jackie who convinced her to return. The fact that the Gold Digger singer managed to beat the addiction and depression she was in, it was enough to convince the King Herself.

Read her statement below;

“Actually what convinced me to return to the group was Jackie. Of course Lillian has also always had struggles but she always overcame them. But we all saw what Jackie went through. The fact that she managed to beat it and called me to come and we work again. I was convinced and inspired and couldn’t turn it down,” she said.

The Boom Party singer added that she’s excited about reuniting with the girls. This is because, despite her aggressive character, she’s treated like a baby when with them.
