Comedians Are Consistent Because They Have Never Received Money From Gov’t – Salvador

Comedian Salvador Idringi has said unlike musicians, Comedians have never received any money from government. He says this is the reason as to why they are consistent probably because they have to work.

He added too that what is selling comedians is hard-work and less fights among themselves.

“We have never received money from the government. That is why we are consistent. We are broke. We, as comedians, have sold ourselves based on belief and hardwork. We have been consistent. Unfortunately our colleagues in the music industry are always involved in brawls and chest thumping,” Patrick “Salvador“Idringi said.

There has always been an interference from politics in the music industry. Often times political parties have used artistes to pass on messages to people especially during the campaign season.

A number of artistes have fallen victim of this which has jeopardized their careers in a very ugly way. Currently opposition supporters can’t be seen around Bebe Cool because he is an NRM supporter.

In comedy though, it has not been so prominent at least as of yet. This helped them grow steadily without giving their fans a hard time to choose on whether to support them or not.

This only means politics is a very sensitive thing to engage in even in the music and arts industry.
