Comedienne Agnes Akite Narrates Painful Ordeal After Being Attacked

Fun Factory comedienne Agnes Akite is grateful for a second chance at life after she was attacked by thugs some time back. The comedienne revealed that she was on the verge of death after goons mercilessly beat her up.

According to Agnes, her skin became damaged. She got Liver complications among other bodily malfunctions. She couldn’t help herself at all because of the injuries.

Besides, the medication she was put on also had its own complications. It made her scratch herself in pain all the time and when night came, she would get so thirsty and had to drink about 2 litres of water.

Fortunately for her, she had all the support from friends and family. Agnes Akite highlighted one of her workmates, fellow comedian, Hannington Bugingo who was so key in her recovery.

Hannington always sent her some of the necessities such as juice and would check on her on a daily to make sure that she was following the specified prescription.

“I’m so grateful that I got a second chance at life because I was definitely on the verge of death. Thieves beat me up so badly and I got so unrecognizable. My skin all became a nuisance and my liver got issues. Fortunately, I had my family and friends to support me. Hannington was always present and always sent me some of the things I needed to recover. At night I used to scratch myself uncontrollably due to the effects of the medicine,” she said.

Additionally, she promised God to shame the devil if he heals her. And she’s planning to do this by always telling jokes about what happened to her. She said that she will be back on stage very soon doing what she loves best because she feels she’s in good health.

Meanwhile, the comedian also talked about the copyright issues in Uganda. She said that unless government intervenes and does something to help, artists will keep making noise for no reason.

Besides, Hannington has presented lots of proposals to the government on what should be done with the copyright law. However, nothing has amounted to any positive change.
