Desperate Police FC To Host Improved Express FC At Lugogo

Express FC started its season by losing its season openers, a situation no one could have seen coming at the time. This is because Express came into the new season as the defending champions.

However, the Red Eagles are slowly turning the corner as they have gone on to collect four points from a possible six in their last two games. After defeating BUL FC 1-0, they held on to draw 2-2 with Uganda Premier League favorites, Vipers SC.

Express’ last three games have been played with head coach Wasswa Bbosa in the stands as he faced a three-match ban for some bad comments.

He will return on the sideline today and hopefully, his loud self will encourage his side to take the W.

As for Police FC, it currently sits at the bottom of the table in the competition with no points from a possible 12.

Abdallah Mubiru’s side has lost all four of their fixtures so far. This is after going down to Vipers, BUL Wakiso Giants, and SC Villa.

With injuries, Police FC captain Tonny Mawejje has recovered from an injury he sustained in the loss to Wakiso Giants on match-day three. Johnson Odong who has been out for over six months has also returned.

Express FC will continue without Captain Enock Walusimbi who is still out on injury.

This match will be the 24th meeting between the two sides since October 2010. In the past 23 meetings, Express has won 11, Police 6, with the other six all ending in draws.

However, Express has a good recent record against Police, winning four of the past five meetings of the two sides.
