Domestic Brawl Results In Woman Murdering Her Husband

Kisoro police have ignited a manhunt for a 30-year-old woman who allegedly murdered her 40-year-old husband in a domestic brawl.

Elly Maate, the Kigezi Regional Police Spokesman identified the suspect as Kajuju Chimpaye who allegedly murdered Gashuhe Gad. The two are residents of Rukeri village, Gitenderi Parish Nyarusiza Sub-county, Kisoro District.

The two have allegedly been married for the past 8 years and after drinking alcohol, they usually quarreled and fought.

Maate explained that on Monday while at their home, the same misunderstandings broke out. This is when the wife hit the deceased with a stone on the head in their marital bedroom. After this, she disappeared.

From the information gathered later on, it showed that the couple had 6 children together but the kids stay with their grandparents.

A one Serubyogo, the in-law to the deceased, found his body lying there lifeless when he went to pay Gad a visit. He then alerted the residents of the village who in turn alerted the police.

The police, led by Kisoro OC CID Onyango Denis, and the team visited the crime scene. They recovered the stone used to hit Gad in the head. They then conveyed the body to Kisoro General Hospital mortuary for postmortem examination.

The case of murder was registered at Kisoro Central Police Station under reference number CRB 222/2022 to help in investigations since no one has been arrested.
