Kyagulanyi and Nsereko have been involved in a heated exchange of words over the later’s Computer Misuse Act.
Kyagulanyi branded the law as repressive and is aimed at curtailing the citizens’ freedom of speech and expression. He even predicted that Nsereko will be this law’s first victim.
According to Nsereko, Bobi Wine shouldn’t be pained for him. He even directed the former presidential candidate to go and debate with Kato Lubwama.
However, according to Nyanjura, she’s been following the pattern of responses from Nsereko to Bobi Wine over time. She came to the conclusion that these are filled with hate, disgust and are disrespectful.
These are allover social media and and it’s very ironic that he’s working on a bill to restore ‘social media sanity.’
“I have been following Hon Muhammad Nsereko’s interviews about @HEBobiwine, they are all over all social media! I find Nsereko’s interviews disgusting, disrespectful & hateful. How ironical given that he is working on a social media bill meant to stop exactly what he is doing.”
There were however social media users who came to the defense of Nsereko. They said that Kyagulanyi’s responses to Nsereko have also always been disrespectful and undermining the legislator.
Further, Nsereko’s supporters said that many people are just commenting about the Nsereko bill without even understanding what it is all about.
A person is only culpable when they post information deemed criminal on their social media handles. However, the person in the information is not punishable if they were just used in the uploads.
A few days ago the Kyagulanyi family led by their elder brother Chairman Nyanzi ganged up on Nsereko. These labeled him a thief for ‘stealing’ their brother Eddy Yawe’s victory in the Kampala Central Parliamentary election.
