It should be recalled that the country has been turned into a playground for the Nigerian artists. Lots of these have been coming to Uganda and even today, another Nigerian singer Kizz Daniel is set for a show at Lugogo Cricket Oval.
However, Chameleone says that as much as he has no problem with these artistes performing in Uganda, all they do is exploit the country financially.
The Leone Island boss added that he would be okay if there was a cultural exchange. However, apart from money, there is nothing that these take back with them.
“I have no problem with Nigerians performing here because they have good music. I myself have always performed in countries abroad but whenever I went there, I always made sure there was a cultural exchange.
Ask these Nigerians if there is anything else they take from Uganda apart from the money,” Jose Chameleone said.
The singer also addressed the domestic violence saga involving his brother Weasel. The Goodlyf singer has been in the news for beating up his baby mama, Sandra Teta severely.
Chameleone refuted this and said that she was beaten by goons who robbed her. He however admitted that the couple is facing some challenges.
He’s however been trying to help them as an elder. Chameleone added that he doesn’t care whether Weasel or Sandra told him the truth about the saga as all he cares about is rehabilitating Sandra.
In regards to what his wife has been posting on social media condemning Weasel, Chameleone said that she’s right in her own way. This is because she dwells on what she’s told but since he’s on ground, he knows the truth.
