The singer emphasized on Wednesday that he went to Entebbe to “talk business” with the President and nothing more.
“I was with the Head of State not at the Bank of Uganda,” Kenzo said when asked about the rumours.
“You just go there and explain what brought you. The president is not sitting there with a sack of money to doll out to visitors.”
Kenzo said the meeting which took place on Monday this week, dwelt so much on the Copyright law.
“I explained how the industry is standing and he gave his advice. The Copyright law was front and centre in the discussion. He said he is part of it and he is going talk to the relevant authorities and will help us fast-track it.”
Eddy Kenzo dismissed the claims as baseless
Meanwhile, the award-winning artist also spoke out for the first time about his alleged ties with fellow artistes Lydia Jazmine and Carol Nantongo.
The songstresses who used to be good friends are reportedly not on the best of terms currently. This is amid claims that they both have been involved romantically with Kenzo.
Kenzo however, yesterday dismissed these claims as baseless. He clarified that his relationship with the ladies is only at the professional level.
His behavior around these two ladies has had many people guessing. However, Kenzo says it’s just part of his work.
“They are my friends and we are in the business together. We do challenges together to promote songs and we have to do that for the sake of the business. We are trying to support each other; how are you going to support a person from a distance?”
