Edison Cavani Omits Ronaldo From The Best Footballers Of All Time

Former Uruguay striker Edison Cavani has omitted Cristiano Ronaldo from his list of the best footballers of all time. The Uruguayan was asked if he considered himself a genius in football.

He said that he doesn’t and picked the players he thinks are geniuses. They included Lionel Messi, Diego Maradona, Neymar Jr and Ronaldinho.

The former PSG forward thinks that he’s a hard worker who is always eager to learn and also score goals.

“Do I consider myself a genius in football? No, honestly, the geniuses are: Messi, Maradona, Neymar and Ronaldinho. I’m just a hard worker in football who kept refining myself.”

Fans now have noticed that he left Cristiano Ronaldo out of the debate. The Portuguese forward has always named himself as the best footballer of all time. There are also fans of his and some notable figures who have named him as the best.

However, a number of respected football figures have always picked his eternal arch-rival Lionel Messi as the best and by miles ahead.

Stats and aesthetics also suggest that the Argentinean is the best by miles. It should be noted that Cavani played with Ronaldo for a year at Manchester United.

Therefore, the fact that he left him out of the debate is such a big deal. Edison Cavani who is 37 years old now plays for Argentina’s top-flight side, Boca Juniors.
