Briefing the media at party head quarters Todwong assured candidates that the elections will be free and fair.
“Elections will be conducted by electoral commission of national resistance movement in accordance with nrm parliamentary caucus rules of procedure for your attention. We shall ensure that the process and environment is free and fair, “Todwong emphasized.
The central executive Committee of National Resistance Movement resolved on 23th July to recommend to NRM parliamentary caucus six names to contest for East Africa legislative assembly political seats.
The central Executive Committee recommended the following Kiwanda Suubi, Mutumba Abbas, Nsubuga Kenneth, Nakato Nyabangi and Lule Mawiya for elections.
“In respect of the leadership of National Resistance Movement Parliamentary Caucus, Central Executive Committee approved of, and recommended all Individual members of the caucus who expressed interest to vie for the positions of chairperson, vice, publicity and treasurer, “Todwong said.
According to Central Executive Committee,the following are vying for position of chairperson namely Hon. KInobere Herbert, Hon Lokii John Baptist, Otimgiw isaac, Hon Taaka Agnes.
For the positions of publicity the list has Atwijukire Dan Kimosho, Auma Helen Wandera, Kintu Alex while position of treasurer has Akello Christine, Najuma Sarah, Nakut faith and Kamateteni Joselyn.
Hon Aber Lillian as unopposed for the position of General Secretary of NRM parliamentary caucus.
