The multi billionaire Elon musk is set to provide Uganda with cheap internet through his consortium. And as a matter of fact, Ugandan internet is currently regarded as the most expensive in the region. We pray that Elon’s initiative will help solve this challenge.

The president of Uganda has already met with a consortium of four American companies. These companies include: Global IP, Boeing, Hughes Networks and Space X owned by billionaire Elon Musk.
Who IS Elon Musk?
Elon Musk is a South African-born, Canadian American Business Magnate, investor, engineer and inventor. He is the founder, CEO and lead designer of SpaceX co-founder CEO and product architect of Tesla Inc and chairman of Solar City. In December 2016, this tech billionaire was ranked 21st on the Forbes list of the world’s most powerful people. As of February 2018, he has a net worth of $20.8 billion and is listed by Forbes as the 53rd richest person in the world.
The consortium is to co-invest with the Ugandan government in satellite technology, that is more affordable and reliable.
This project will help to provide cheap internet
The President and the officials from the four companies discussed the mode under which they will provide cheap efficient Internet services throughout the country.
Mr Museveni and the delegation agreed on the necessity of a study, on which the government will derive the necessary information regarding the costs and the way forward.
Ugandans will enjoy some good and cheap internet like never before, incase this initiative is implemented and internet users will definitely increase in number.
