According to Ssendi, he’s so much disappointed in both Bebe Cool and Maurice Kirya. This is because the duo both chickened out of the race for the presidency.
Ssendi however revealed that he’s going to throw all his weight behind King Saha. Besides Saha is more approachable and he’s confidently sure he will accomplish the job.
“I’m so much disappointed in both Bebe Cool and Maurice Kirya. Bebe Cool got out of the race and endorsed Kirya. Kirya accepted and also then dropped from the race. That’s absolute madness. For the record, I’m going to support King Saha because he’s more approachable and I think he will be better than Cindy. I, therefore, call upon all musicians to vote him,”Eddie Ssendi said.
On the other hand, Kasuku also endorsed King Saha. Kasuku said that Saha is one of the founding members of UMA.
The Dembe FM Talk And Talk show host said that UMA was birthed by him, Saha, and Chameleone under the Save Uganda Music umbrella.
Kasuku also revealed that Saha’s determination is clear and will help UMA achieve its objectives.
“Saha is very determined and can achieve anything if he’s hell-bent on it. I remember one time we were chasing a gig and were supposed to be at the ICT ministry by 5 am. Saha was there by 4:30 am and I arrived an hour later. This just shows you his hunger,” Kasuku said.
The radio personality however advised musicians to be wary of the Secretary-General they choose. It’s him/her that runs the Association as the President is more of giving official signatures.
