Floyd Mayweather To Return To Boxing Against YouTuber Logan Paul

The formerly retired heavyweight boxing champion Floyd Mayweather made an announcement that he will be returning to boxing soon. He said he will take on YouTuber Logan Paul in a special exhibition fight in February 2021 just like that of Mike Tyson.

The former champion, 43, recently ended his boxing career after 50 fights and registering 0 losses in all his bouts. Floyd last fought in 2017 defeating MMA star Connor McGregor in one of the richest bouts in boxing history.

As for Logan Paul, 25, he has fought professionally only once losing to fellow YouTuber KSI back in 2019.

For months now, people made speculations that the two will fight and it has finally come to pass. Logan Paul who has over 22 million subscribers on YouTube has taunted Floyd Mayweather on several occasions, in addition to insults on social media.

Last week, Logan’s younger brother, Jake, fought on the bill of Mike Tyson vs Roy Jones Jr. in Los Angeles. He managed to defeat the former NBA star Nate Robinson by knockout.

The fight between the former champion and the YouTuber is slated for 20 February 2021 and is likely to draw huge pay-per-view numbers. It is also an opportunity for Floyd to take on an opponent that is way beyond the traditional boxing world.

In December 2019, he needed just 140 seconds to beat Japanese kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa in an exhibition boxing bout worth $9m.
