Dr. Edward Ssemwanga, the hospital superintendent confirmed Tomusange’s death though declined to reveal more details. However, a close relative to the deceased revealed the former envoy has been suffering from a chronic illness.
After his condition worsened on Friday, relatives rushed the Former Ugandan Ambassador to the hospital because he had failed to respond to medication.
The relative revealed that the deceased had been living at his country home in Kigaba village, Butenga Sub County, Bukomansimbi district. Apparently, he had been living with a neurological disorder.
Tomusange served as Uganda’s Ambassador to Kenya between 2001 and 2006 before they sent him to Denmark up to 2009. Later, they deployed him to South Africa and Canada until 2012 when they recalled him to return home and become a senior presidential advisor.
