Fred Ssebata Grateful To Eddy Kenzo After Industry Celebrates Him

Veteran Kadongo Kamu singer Lord Fred Ssebata has heaped praise on singer, Eddy Kenzo. This is after a mini concert was held at the Uganda National Musicians Federation(UNMF) headquarters in Mutundwe to celebrate him.

The Dole yo Mwana singer said that this was something unbelievable for him. Apparently, this is because he has never been appreciated in such a way for all the many years he has been singing.

“This is truly satisfying and so impressive and I truly appreciate it. For the many years I have been singing, nothing of this sort has ever been done for me. Therefore, I’m so grateful to Eddy Kenzo and the rest of the federation,” he said.

Many singers such as Kenzo himself, David Lutalo, Hanson Baliruno, Willy Mukabya paid tribute to the Matendo band boss.

Additionally, Eddy Kenzo said that in partnership with other musicians, they are going to organize a concert for the legendary singer. This will take place at Serena Hotel next year.

Meanwhile, Fred Ssebata has been languishing in poverty and misery for the past few years. Despite being one of the successful musicians in the country, he didn’t earn much from his music.

This is because he sold off the rights to it away many years ago. Therefore, he was living off the mercy and sympathy of well wishers.
