Speaking about it, the singer said that she drew the inspiration from Zulu South African songs of the 80’s and 90’s. This is why the song kinda sounds familiar to some people.
Additionally, she said that she’s glad the song has been appreciated by very many people and it’s doing its intended job. Furthermore, she said that she also wrote the song under the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
“I’m very glad that people are appreciating the song. I wrote it under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. And besides me and the producer Josh Wonder drew inspiration from the Zulu songs of years ago. Songs such as Umkombothi, wedding day among others. That’s why it sounds familiar to some people,” she said.
Just like most songs nowadays, the song has been propelled to even greater success by Internet platform, TikTok. A lot of people have been doing challenges out of this song. This even prompted the former Spark TV presenter to join the video sharing platform. And it’s just a week ago since she joined it. She credited her song as the reason she she joined TikTok.
