Gen Katumba’s Daughter To Be Laid To Rest Today

Gen Katumba’s daughter, Brenda Nantongo who was slain on Tuesday is going to be laid to rest today. Brenda was travelling with her dad, Gen Katumba when they were showered with bullets that killed her plus the driver instantly. These three were on their way to the vigil of Gen Katumba’s mother in law. The target was obviously the general who fortunately survived this.

The General who is currently nursing wounds after a discharge from the hospital was grateful to the people who helped him. While speaking at the daughter’s vigil yesterday, he thanked his guard and the motorcycle rider. He narrated the scary incident and said his daughter’s words were “Jesus” before she breathed her last.

A vigil was prepared for Gen Katumba’s daughter and many dignitaries attended in great numbers. Former parliament speaker, Hon Rebecca Kadaga was seen there. The spot she sat in made heads turn though. She is seen being sandwiched by NRM Secretary General, Justine Lumumba and former Mp. Ruth Nankabirwa. If we remember right, Kadaga and the two ladies aren’t in the best times. Guess, it’s true, bad times bring people together.

Meanwhile, Brenda is going to be buried around Mukono. Her mother says Brenda was highly anticipating her wedding day. For this reason, she requested, her daughter to be dressed in a wedding gown to fulfil her wish. Brenda was described as a very focused person who was at peace with everyone. On the other hand, the driver who was slain too is to be buried tomorrow.
