“Ghetto President” Buchaman Lobbies Jobs For Ghetto Youths

Self-proclaimed ghetto president Mark Bugembe aka Buchaman has started the year on a high note by lobbying some jobs for the ghetto youths.

This is after the Operation Wealth Creation (OWC), KCCA and Uganda Manufacturers Association (UMA) donated four briquette making machines to the ghetto.

The handover ceremony was presided over by KCCA ED Dorothy Kisaka and Buchaman.

While talking about this project, Buchaman said that these machines are going to create lots of jobs. This is because one machine can employ over 1000 people and it is faster.

Besides, these machines will help in ridding the city of waste materials, especially plastics.

“I’m so glad to the different parties who have partnered and availed these machines to us more especially the ghetto youths. Many people have been buying briquettes from the ghetto but the resources we have been using have been scarce but with machines, more output will be got with less effort.

One machine can make about 60 sacks a day and employ over 1000 people. It will also help to get rid of waste materials especially plastic because it’s also a raw material,” he said.

The presidential advisor on Ghetto affairs seems like he’s finally executing his role correctly.

Buchaman declared himself the ghetto president after Bobi Wine joined active politics. Kampala is one of the cities with too much plastic waste floating around.
