Handing over the donation to office the prime minister, Mushimiyimana Simon managing director of Gisonet Technologies said they thought of media as specific group that is directly on the front line of implementing government efforts of curbing the spread of covid and saving Ugandans from mass death.
“While no one can argue the work done by the Ministry of Health through it’s health workers following the presidential guidelines during this critical time you can all concur with us that the media has played an important role through live coverage of the presidential advice and covid-19 other related issues both on national and international level, he said.”this donation of two tones of maize flour has been dedicated to the fore mentioned groups on top of other contribution we have made at different levels in our community,” Simon added.
He challenged rich people on society to contribute to providing food to the poor during the lock down while cautioned Ugandans to continue adhering to the precautionary measures of social distancing, washing hands using soap and water or sanitizers and staying at home to curb Corona virus pandemic spread.
