The group has now revealed how they got the songstress onto the song. Apparently, Sheebah had promised them a collaboration since they have a good relationship with her.
This was nurtured through writing different songs for the singer. So, when they were pitching some songs for her, they reminded her of the collabo she promised.
She heard their Did I Die song and chose it. The self-styled queen karma told them that instead of a collabo, they could remix the song since it still had a lot to offer.
They had earlier released their own version last year. And although it was fairly known, it wasn’t as viral as the current mix.
The two singers also said that they decided to add two more singers, dancehall veteran, Vampino and rapper, Feffe Bussi. And luckily for them, the song has become a hit.
They revealed that the reason the song wasn’t as viral in the first place is because of the English title. Most people had it as A Pass’ Dididada instead of Did I die.
However, the new version got these people their own Luganda aversion to ‘Safa’ which has helped to push it.
“Sheebah is a long-term friend of ours. This friendship was born out of the numerous songs we write for her. So she promised us a collabo. And when we were pitching songs for her, she chose our Did I die song for a remix. She said the song still had a lot to be milked out. We gathered Vampino and Feffe Bussi and this is how the hit was born,” the duo said.
