Headteachers Urged To Physically Brief Their S4 Candidates Bound For UCE Exams On Monday

Headteachers have been Urged to brief Senior Four candidates all over the country set to sit for their Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) examinations. These exams will commence on Monday 17th October, 2022.

Since today is the last weekday before they begin, they will be briefed today by their headteachers nationwide.

The UCE examinations are the first set of examinations to be conducted by the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) in 2022. The others will be for Primary seven and senior six.

Daniel Odongo, the UNEB executive Secretary says the briefing is a very important aspect to candidates. He therefore maintained that it must be conducted by the headteachers themselves.

Further, he asked that during the briefing sessions, candidates must be reminded of the instructions in the timetable amongst other things.

He also said they have to be reminded of the rules and regulations on examination conduct.

The Primary Leaving Examinations will be conducted in early November, with candidates being briefed on November 7th.

This will be followed by Mathematics and Social Studies on 8th November then Science and English on 9th November.

The PLE will then be followed by the Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education commencing on November 18th, and end by December 9th.

The UCE examinations starting with today’s briefing are expected to be done by November 18th as the UACE exams begin.
