Launching Uganda Baati limited latest SafeBuild product brand in the market Baryomunsi said housing units do not much with current population explosion.
“Uganda has the fastest growing demography with high rate of population growth estimately at 3.4 percent in the world. This exerts pressure on government to plan well for the citizenry and calls for investment into descent housing in the next 20 years to come. We currently have housing deficit of 2.1 million housing units in Kampala alone, “he said.
Baryomunsi however says government will support innovations and partner with Uganda Baati Limited to address housing needs especially putting up referral hospital structures.
” Government will support initiatives and create more partnerships with innovative institutions to change mind set and society attitude to embrace advanced technology for descent housing,” he said.
President of Uganda Institute of Professional Engineers Engineer Ben Kyemba pledged for collaboration to improve standards on engineering profession practices.
