A number of people dread the thought of being in a long distance relationship and if they can avoid it, they would do it without thinking. However, long distance relationships may actually not be as bad as people want to make them seem.

They can work if the two people involved are willing to make the relationship work. The main issue why relationships fail is because of the involvement of so many third parties.

When you make up your mind to relate with someone and they are just right for you, let it be between the two of you. It is important to know what you’re walking into because it helps you know how to go about it.

For a long distance relationship, accepting the fact that you won’t see each other all the time is very important. This however means, communication must really be great.

Communication breaks all barriers even distance. Social media has actually made this even easier, video calls are very possible. You can go as far as scheduling when you can talk for long hours but not be limited to it, it only keeps you in check.

As the communication is going on, endeavor to be accountable to one another. Telling your partner how your day has been, what you have done helps them know how you are spending your time.

Schedule to meet up, much as there may be distance, meeting up is very crucial. Endeavor to meet up even if it’s twice a month, it makes a lot of difference. As much as possible, let the physical meeting be as fun as possible.

You could play games, visit places, out door activities make memories that are incredible. Of course, find time to talk, pray together and know where the the relationship is heading.

Most importantly, it may not so wise to date for long in such a relationship. If you can make things official as soon as possible, it would do the relationship good so that no one gets tired if waiting for the other.

Otherwise, long distance relationships can work out even better than close range because relationships revolve more around people than distance.
