I Can Never Do Amapiano Music – Gravity Omutujju

Local rapper Gravity Omutujju has come out to reveal that he will never do Amapiano music. The music genre which originates from South Africa is slowly becoming a sensation on the Continent and globally.

In Uganda some musical artistes such as B2C and Spice Diana have already done songs in the style. Gravity however says that the genre is for people who can dance which is not him.

“I will never sing Amapiano because am not a dancer. That music genre is meant for people who know how to dance, and that’s not me,” Gravity said while appearing on NBS After 5.

The singer who is famous for releasing songs with catchy trending words has already dropped a song titled ‘Tusimbudde.’ He further revealed that he has another one titled ‘Big Boys’ that he will be outing soon. Besides, he also has a number of songs and music in the pipelines.

And of course he couldn’t fail to throw some shade at one of his competitors in the genre, Fefe Bussi. Gravity said that the rapper’s new song Gamba Chwi is not great.

“I have a new song called ‘Big Boys’ that I will be dropping soon, and there are lots other music videos in the pipeline. So, I’ll be dropping one by one every month.

Fefe Bussi’s song Gamba Chwi’ is a weak song but he’s a good artiste,” the Malangaja singer added.

The rapper has however over time been criticized for duplicating the HipHop genre. Many say that what he sings is a local style known as Kidandali (dancehall) and not rap as he claims.
