They, therefore, named her ‘Landa’ and she also proceeded to adopt it when she joined music.
Just like how they say that turn your weaknesses into your strengths. She took it quite seriously.
“I got the name Landa from school bullies who used to troll me for having a small butt. When I started music, I also decided to go ahead with it and I’m glad that it turned into a household name,” she said.
Further, the singer narrated why her music career is yet to take off in the way she wants. This has all been brought about by the constant change of management. She was first signed under fellow musician Pallaso as her manager.
Pallaso however dropped her after their sponsor left the country. She then joined new management but this stressed her out. The African girl singer signed a 5-year contract but only went through it for 8 months.
It was then that DJ Roja of the Roja and Slick Stuart duo took her on. Roja managed to negotiate with Jowy Landa’s then-manager out of the contract since they were mutual friends.
Although she’s yet to release any music under Roja, she’s confident that she will thrive under him.
