I Never Said I’m Quitting TV For Good – Sheila Gashumba

TV personality Sheila Gashumba has come out to defend her return to the big screen after a few years in a self-induced leave.

Contrary to what her critics were saying, Sheila has revealed that she never said that she was quitting TV for good.

She further said that she only talked about the poor pay she was being subjected to at her workstation then.

Sheila then said that however when Douglas Lwanga connected her to NBS TV boss, Kin Kariisa, she was offered a very difficult deal to resist. The After 5 presenter added that Kariisa respects his workers which is an added incentive.

“I never said that I’m quitting TV forever. I only took a break and spoke out against the poor pay that myself and other workers were being subjected to at my former workstation. However, when Douglas linked me with Kin Kariisa, we talked and I was given a lucrative contract. I couldn’t say no when my conditions were met. Everyone knows that I love money and if my account is happy, that’s what matters. Besides I’m very talented and I know it,” Sheila revealed.

She further said that she has been receiving a lot of deals, especially from radio stations. She’s however on countless times turned down these.

It should be noted that Sheila a few years ago came out to criticize NTV for paying her peanuts. She claimed that she was being paid 50,000/= per show, a thing that couldn’t be tolerated by her brand.

There and then, Sheila threw in the towel and said that she would rather be an Uber driver than a broke famous TV presenter in Uganda.
