According to Muhoozi, the UPDF is his army. He, therefore, wants it back. Muhoozi made sure to put the ‘my army’ in quotation marks to drive his point home.
UPDF is still 'My' Army. Afande Mzee, I want my army back!!

“UPDF is still ‘My’ Army. Afande Mzee, I want my army back,” tweeted Muhoozi.
It should be noted that Muhoozi is the commander of the Land Forces for about two years. He was however removed from this role last year and promoted to the rank of a General from Lieutenant-General.
This was after several controversial tweets about security issues in the region. This however didn’t help to arrest the situation as he’s continued to air out these controversial topics via his Twitter page.
Both father and son have been constantly blasted for personalizing the army. In a related incident, Muhoozi also acted his views about Gen Kahinda Otafiire.
Otafiire has seemed to be at loggerheads with Muhoozi over his presidential ambitions. The Minister of Internal Affairs recently trashed Muhoozi’s presidential ambitions while in his constituency.
Muhoozi however said that Otafiire is his uncle and he can’t fight him. To him, he can’t fight his father’s friends.
“Let me make this very clear to the world. General Otafiire is another uncle of mine. He is a close comrade of my father. I will never fight him.”
It seems like Muhoozi won’t ever put on the brakes on his Twitter page. Therefore people have to bare his at times not so appealing tweets.
