I Was Also Cheated – Mc Africa On Flopped Jinja Trip

Mc Africa has in recent months risen to fame for his trendy line ‘’it’s a Friday’’. A few weeks back, he got spotted in a video while marketing a trip to Jinja dubbed ‘’Twende Tuparte Jinja’’ which turned out to be a scam.

Over the weekend, Mc Africa’s name made rounds on social media after news that the trip he publicized on social media was a scam.

Unsuspecting party animals paid up to Shs 100,000 for the two-day trip (Oct 16-17) at which they promised them a sumptuous package.

The money had to cover different activities including accommodation, silent disco, photography meals, and games.

On top of that, the revelers were promised a special performance by singer Liam Voice among many others.

However, on the day of departure, the victims learned that they were on their own. This was after learning that the trip they had paid for wouldn’t happen.

Later on, they discovered that a yet-to-be-known stranger who only intended to hit the lottery with people’s money had organized the trip.

To shield himself from social media trolling, Mc Africa posted a video on his socials. He said he never had a hand in the organization of the trip. He further said the organizer also cheated him and made away without paying Mc Africa.

Mc Africa said they will keep looking for the orchestrator of this plot.

Following the incident, Digital Marketing Officer at Uganda Tourism Board, Ajena Jafar went to Twitter and said they will work with Uganda Police to get the scammer.

‘’We have taken a very keen interest in this case. Uganda Tourism Board’s Quality Assurance department will enlist the help of tourism police to apprehend the scammers. We cannot allow such elements to undermine the gains we are making in the domestic market,’’ Jafar said.
