Ideation Corner, a social impact fund dedicated to supporting youth and women in business, has formed a strategic partnership with the UN Women’s Entrepreneurship Day Organization (WEDO) and Ahura AI.
Together, they are set to launch an exclusive six-week course on artificial intelligence (AI) tailored specifically for women entrepreneurs.
The course, designed to empower women entrepreneurs, will consist of six comprehensive weekly sessions. Each session will delve into various aspects of AI and how it can be applied effectively in small businesses.
Ambassador Damali Ssali, Founder of Ideation Corner and WEDO Ambassador for Uganda, made this exciting announcement during the 2024 Women Entrepreneurship Celebration held at MoTIV, Kampala.
She expressed her enthusiasm about the transformative potential of artificial intelligence in revolutionizing businesses.
Empowering Women Entrepreneurs through practical AI skill
During her speech, Ambassador Ssali emphasized the practical benefits of the AI Empowerment Program. Participants will gain hands-on experience in utilizing AI tools such as ChatGPT, chatbots, and data analysis platforms.
By enrolling in this program, women entrepreneurs will not only develop a deeper understanding of AI technologies but also learn how to leverage them to enhance branding, improve customer engagement, and drive business growth.
Ms. Ssali announced that the course is open to the first 100 women entrepreneurs who digitally register via [email protected] before the end of July 2024. Interested individuals are encouraged t
secure their spot promptly to take advantage of this unique opportunity.
Expanding the reach of AI education
This initiative follows the success of a similar AI course implemented in Zambia, which attracted over 100 women entrepreneurs. The positive response from participants highlights the growing demand for AI education among women in business.
The 2024 Women Entrepreneurship Celebration in Uganda, organized by the Ideation Corner Foundation in collaboration with HiPipo and WEDO, served as a platform to recognize the achievements of exceptional women entrepreneurs.
The event not only encouraged networking between established and upcoming entrepreneurs but also celebrated the milestones accomplished by women founders and business leaders over the years.
Leveraging networking for business Success
During her keynote address, Ms. Ruth Sebatindira, Founder of Ligomarc Advocates, emphasized the significance of networking in achieving business success.
Drawing from her own two decades of entrepreneurial experience, she encouraged women entrepreneurs to view networking as a long-term relationship-building activity.
Establishing expertise and credibility in their respective fields, she suggested, would open doors to new opportunities through meaningful connections.
Doreen Nanfuka, the HiPipo Senior Programs Officer, commended the initiative to honor women entrepreneurs and called upon other stakeholders to generously support similar initiatives. By embracing programs such as the women entrepreneurship celebration and women in FinTech, we can collectively work towards closing the gender diversity gap in the business world.
