IGP Okoth Ochola Reshuffled A Total Of 142 Police Offices, CID Most Affected

The Inspector of Police, afande Okoth Ochola on Saturday he reshuffled a total of 142 police officers, he transferred and gave them different assignments within the police.

The reshuffle which was announced on Saturday evening surprisingly saw Emilian Kayima being transferred from the position of police spokesperson to the head of information and publication in the chief political commissar’s office.

Afande Fred Enanga was transferred from Criminal Investigations Division headquarters in Kibuli and restored as the new police spokesperson replacing Kayima.

Madam Namaye Polly was also reinstated as the deputy police spokesperson while Mr Onyango Patrick is now the new spokesperson for Kampala Metropolitan police.

The transfers are reportedly said to have affected more the Uganda Police Force Criminal Investigation Division ( CID ) with more than forty police officers being transferred either from or CID.

The Flying Squad commander, afande Kakonge Peter who was appointed in June last year has also been transferred to CID headquarters in Kibuli and now the new Flying squad commander is Detective Senior Superintendent of Police, Mr Tumugumye Godwin who has been the commander of CID for Kampala Metropolitan Police.
