Taking to his Twitter page, he wondered why the likes of South African singer Yvonne Chaka Chaka used to fill stadiums back in the days.
This is after Kenzo’s critics said that this era has many platforms to air their music to a larger audience. According to him Philly wasn’t as big as people are portraying him to be.
“If there was no internet in those times, how come the Yvonne Chaka Chaka of those times filled stadiums in Africa and not the Ugandan artistes? – Eddy Kenzo wacha excuses and give people their flowers while they live. You lose nothing by stating the obvious.”
One of the Superman singer’s fans said that there is nothing special about Kenzo. In fact even Ykee Benda is more talented than Kenzo to this particular fan.
The self-styled boy so tender agreed with this take. He said that there isn’t a debate as he’s more talented than the Weekend singer. He however acknowledges that the 2023 Grammy finalist has achieved more than him.
“That’s not a debate … that’s… but he has achieved more than me so far… that’s also. Have I died for stating those two facts ?? Nasaako Omukono MpakaBoss.”
However, it’s just a few artistes such as Ykee Benda and Nince Henry who are on Kenzo’s side. Most of the others have criticized him for just even likening himself to the deceased Born In Africa singer.
