Jeff Kiwa earlier this week unveiled the less known Rahma Pinky as Sheebah’s replacement in TNS. Pinky sounds more like Sheebah and many who have listened to her have interpreted this as direct competition to queen karma.
The new young singer however says she has massive respect for Sheebah. She adds that she has even never met Sheebah personally and believes the industry can accommodate all of them.
Rahma Pinky also revealed that she didn’t know that she sounds like the Nakyuka singer.
“I’m not here to fight Sheebah. She’s a legend and I respect her for that. I have also never met her personally so I think neither of us has a problem with the other. We shall coexist in the industry harmoniously. I actually didn’t know that I sounded like Sheebah. I was just given a song which I voiced in the studio. Everyone however tells me how I sound like her,” Rahmah Pinky said.
Sheebah a while ago called it quits on her existence in TNS. The singer and her manager Jeff Kiwa had partnered up for close to 8 years. Together they built a formidable brand that saw Sheebah rise to the helm of Ugandan music.
However, uncertainty still runs over whether Sheebah will be able to succeed on her own. This is because Jeff Kiwa is an accredited talent manager after having worked with the likes of Jose Chameleone and Goodlyf.
Many have however tipped Sheebah to ride solo successfully because she has all the connections.
