It’s Not Right The Church Refused To Pray For Late Kato Lubwama’s Body – Rebecca Jjingo

Musician Rebecca Jjingo is disappointed with the Catholic church for refusing to pray for the body of the late Kato Lubwama. She said it is not right because Kato Lubwama is already dead and the living should be doing better in their decisions.

Kato Lubwama died a week ago and according to his will, he asked to be left for a whole week on earth for people to mourn him.

His family granted him his wishes and a few days ago, his body was brought from the hospital to his home in Mutundwe.

Like is a culture among Christians, prayers were supposed to be held. However, the Catholic church where Kato Lubwama was baptized refused to pray for him.

They said he died not a believer and he openly said he believed in small gods and witchcraft. They, therefore, refused to pray for him.

So many people didn’t expect the Catholic church to refuse to pray for Kato Lubwama. And ever since then, the born-agains have been taking turns in praying for him.

On the day Kato Lubwama’s body arrived at his home, Pastor Bugingo took on prayers and prayed for him. Yesterday at the National Theatre, Pastor Wilson Bugembe also prayed for him.

As a person that worked with Kato Lubwama, Rebecca Jjingo said actors love God. For that matter, the Catholic church should have prayed for their fellow Kato Lubwama.

“Abantu abaalamula Uncle Kato kyebakola tekyali kituufu. Kubanga naffe bannakatemba twagala Katonda, okugaana kwabwe okumusabira tekyali kituufu naye sijja kubanyiigira,” she said.
