Singer Jackie Chandiru Launches Campaign For The Girl Child

Musician Jackie Chandiru has launched a program for the girl child aimed at creating awareness against the different things they face especially early pregnancies and sexually transmitted diseases.

The Agassi singer said that this will also be addressing the boy Child indirectly. She, therefore, called upon the government to give her and this issue priority because it’s delicate.

According to Jackie, her message will help in curbing down high pregnancy among teenage girls. This is despite her message not targeting any specific age group.

Further, she said that she’s not starting this project because of money but because she feels she can use her voice to make a change.

“I’m starting this project to address early pregnancy and other things that affect the girl child. Girls are usually deceived into making mistakes which always disorganizes their lives. I, therefore, believe that government should give me an ear and we partner to address the root problem.”

Jackie went ahead to say that she’s been watching several teenage girls bragging about how they will steal married men when they return home from school. As young girls, they obviously have no idea about what lies ahead.

But it’s a responsibility for the likes of her and those who have the experience to teach the little ones the right morals.

She also called upon her fellow musicians to use their voices and create positive impacts in their societies.
