Jackie Chandiru Regrets The 7 Years She Wasted Doing Drugs

One of the Blu3 singers Jackie Chandiru has revealed that she regrets the seven years of her life she wasted doing drugs. She said she couldn’t believe that she is still paying the price for those years even after she became completely clean.

Jackie is one of the most talented female musicians in Uganda. She has been singing for more than 15 years although she has had her ups and downs.

In the beginning, her drug abuse wasn’t seen in public until it became worse. She stopped singing and performing at different stages.

The singer said she remembers all her friends running away from her leaving her to go through the struggle alone. She added that she almost lost her mind.

According to the singer, she spent all the money she had to buy drugs. She even went ahead to sell some of the valuables she had in her house to keep taking drugs.

She said that she was very lucky that her family could afford to take her to Kenya so that she could go through rehabilitation and get all the help she needed.

Jackie Chandiru also revealed that she has not stabilized, the effect of her drug use is still visible in her life. She is still paying for it.

“I killed 7 years of my life, dropped from top to bottom, and I am still paying the price. I would be very far from where I am if I hadn’t been addicted to drugs,” she said.
