Karole Kasita Reveals Sheebah Said She Was Too Busy To Do Remix Of “Chekecha”

Singer Karole Kasita has revealed that she wanted Sheebah Karungi to join her for the remix of her hit song Chekecha. However, Sheebah told her she was busy with personal projects. She revealed this in a recent interview with Tuff B on NBS TV.

“And then for Sheebah I passed it by her, but she didn’t buy the idea. So, it’s Winnie and Vinka that agreed to work with me on that project,” she said.

When Tuff B asked her if Sheebah refused to join her for the remix, Kasita said: “I just passed it by her, like I gave her an idea. She didn’t refuse. She wasn’t in a position to do it.”

Kasita was able to remix the song with Winnie Nwagi and Vinka. This proved to be a huge success, prompting her to host her maiden concert. Its video, now at 4.1 million views, was the second most viewed Ugandan song on YouTube in 2023.

The video was filmed by Aaronaire, real name Aaron Mutumba, who also directed the videos of 10 over 10 by Azawi, Okwepicha by Gravity, Believe by Dax Vibez and Vinka, Ndabula by Carol Nantongo & B2C, Ndi Wuwo by Elijah Kitaka and Tonyt by Rema Namakula.

The remix was co-produced by Artin Pro and Chemical Beatz. Artin Pro, also produced other top jams in 2023, including Bwe Paba by Sheebah & Fik Fameica, Take It Slow by Vyper Ranking featuring Winnie Nwagi, My Guy by BigTril featuring Fik Fameica, Njagala by Lydia Jazmine, Pose by Kateleya & Kandle featuring Fik Fameica and Binkolelele by Kateleya & Kandle.
