Wamala region police spokesperson, Mr Ochom Norbert confirmed that the deceased’s body was retrieved from the pit-latrine which they said had ashes on it’s edge at her home in Nalutuntu parish.
Najjita’s disappearance was reported a couple of weeks a go by some of her relatives at Kakungube police station in Kassanda District and immediately, police launched their investigations into the matter, ‘said Wamala.
According to the police spokesperson, the neighbours immediately reported to the police station after experiencing a horrible smell spreading out from the pit-latrine.
The police rushed to the scene, but shockingly they found a rotting body inside the pit-latrine, the police was able to retrieve it and finally handed it to the family for burial.
Maj. Gen Kasirye Gwanga who managed to reach the scene in time ordered the police to carry out thorough investigations as soon as possible to be able to know who the killers are.
