Kayihura’s sacking was shocking by most people though they were against his police force and his tactics that he used while he was still the police boss.

Back to the punch line, Gen. Kale Kayihura, has been taken to the International Criminal Court (ICC) over crimes against humanity.

It’s said that kayihura with his fellow police officers committed these crimes towards a group of Rwanda natives as they were forcefully deported back to their country.

The Group through Mr Rugema Kayumba said they have filed a criminal complaint at the ICC because they have failed to get justice in Uganda for a while now.

Even Though this petition is taken to the ICC, it’s on merit since it includes crimes like murder, deportation or forceful transfer of population.

Torture and enforced disappearance of persons are within the definition of crimes against humanity which are triable by the ICC,” the petitioners state in the criminal complaint before the ICC.
