Kayunga Issue Is Not An NUP Matter Anymore, It’s Country Matter – Joel Ssenyonyi

Spokesperson of NUP, Joel Ssenyonyi has said what happened in Kayunga is no longer an NUP matter but a country matter now. He said this while addressing the media on the way forward after NUP lost an election in Kayunga.

“Even some NRM members are saying they didn’t win in Kayunga. This is no longer a NUP matter. It is an issue of our country. What are you telling Ugandans? That voting doesn’t matter anymore?” Joel Ssenyonyi

Joel Ssenyonyi says they are going to court with the DR forms to see if EC had different calculators from theirs.

“Our candidate decided to go to court with all the DR Forms for the court to count, maybe they have a better calculator. The same way we have put the regime to test and exposed them, we want to put the courts to test.”

Nagwedde, who claims that she was cheated has said she is currently hunting for the Museveni of 1986 who fought against rigged elections.

“I believe the Museveni of 1986 went to the bush to fight because of a rigged election. I am looking for that Museveni to go and tell the Gen. Museveni of today that elections in Kayunga were rigged,” Harriet Nakweede.

Kayunga elections are still an ongoing topic till further notice. This is because NUP is still claiming the election was rigged because they are sure they won the election. However, because they are going to court, let’s see how far that goes.
